Can't control Youtube Music from my Versa 4

Just setup versa 4 to work with Fitbit on iPhone. I wanted to control YouTube music app on my phone from Fitbit. When I launched the app from Fitbit it comes back with message to finish setup and the is and OPEN icon, when pressed on Fitbit it vibrates but no controls show up to control music. What am I missing. I had the Versa Lite and it controlled my ITunes from the Fitbit, I know that the Versa 4 is not compatible with the Versa 4, which in my opinion was not a good business decision. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Flagator50    You wrote that your Versa 4 is brand new, so it has the firmware from when it was manufactured.  YouTube Music Controls came in a firmware update.  If you didn’t get it right away, then you should get it in the next 24-48 hours.  YouTube Music Controls requires YouTube Premium.

Sadly, there is no generic music control like on your Versa Lite.

Thanks for reply. I did get a firmware update and installed. Sadly I will have to look into YouTube Premium music costs. The reason I bought the Versa 4 was my Lite battery was maybe lasting 24 hours. Oh well.

Ok, so I got the YouTube music premium free trial to try out feature. I still get a notification to finish setup when launching app on Fitbit, even after restarting Fitbit Versa 4. What am I missing? In original post I meant to say that I knew that the Versa 4 was not compatible with Apple Music.

@Flagator50   I don’t use this feature.  Users needed a paid, not trial subscription when Pandora and Deezer were available.  This might be true for YouTube Music, too.

I hope someone else can confirm.

Thanks, I am going to forego the music control because I don’t think $15 a month is worth it. My iPhone is loaded with music so I am good.
