Not being able to download 3rd party apps is absurd! "Smart" watch this is not. I want to return. I'll get a different watch all together if this is how fitbit is going. My first gen versa shouldn't be more versital than the newest generation! I don't care about O2, but I would like to be able to control my music! Booo fitbit!

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Colea794!
Sad to hear about your initial impressions on your Versa 4. It seems that Fibit, now being a Google company, had to rearrange their product lineup to give the Google Pixel Watch it's place as a full featured smart watch. So any customer now can choose what she/he wants to get: Pixel Watch for a full smart watch experience with the usual drawbacks on battery runtime, Versa 4 as a smart fitness watch with much sleeker design and much longer battery runtime or Versa 3 offering the advantages of Versa 4 with some apps that are available for installation.
You might want to check if you're able to return your Versa 4 depending on the vendor's return policy. If you've purchased your device from Fitbit, here's their's:
What's Fitbit’s return and warranty policy?
