My Versa 4 alerts when I get a message from Snapchat but it doesn't allow me to read the message on my watch.

  • Make sure "Do not disturb" or "Silent mode" is disabled on your phone and Sense
  • Open the Fitbit app  → Tap "your "Profile"  → Tap "Sense"  → "Notifications"
  • Enable the toggles next to the desired apps to get notifications from them.
  • Open Settings  → Bluetooth. Tap on the (i) next to your Fitbit Sense device.

  • Enable the toggle for Share system notifications.

  • Phone Settings → Notifications → Show previews. Select Always, When unlocked or similar
  • Settings → Notifications → Messages Enable the toggle next to Allow notifications

If the steps above do not help, try these additional steps:

Turn off all notifications on Sense:

  • Fitbit app → "Profile picture"  → "Sense"  → "Notifications"
  • turn off all notifications.
  • Restart your phone
  •  Open the Fitbit app and enable all of your preferred notifications
  • Unpair Sense / phone in Bluetooth settings
  • remove and add your Sense to your phone

The last I can think of is reset your phones settings.to  default values:

  • Settings  → General → Transfer or Reset → Reset → Reset settings.

None of that helped. I still receive a Snapchat notification on my Versa 4 and when I tap to open it says “open link” with what looks like a paper airplane. I’m beyond frustrated. My Charge 4 used to all me to read Snapchat messages, now I upgrade to the Versa 4 and unable to.

Update: Correction….it says “link sent” when I try to open Snapchat message on Versa 4.

Hi there, @MichelleA1971. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and troubleshooting the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling. @LokeAa Thank you so much for your help!

In addition to the steps you've done so far, please try the following:

  1. Turn off the text notifications in the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the Versa 4 from the list.
  3. On your phone's settings, tap Apps > Fitbit > Force stop.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Set up the notifications one more time and try checking your text notifications on the Versa 4.

Also, please check if "Preview new messages". To do so, open the Message+ app, then go to "Settings", then "Notifications", then "In-app notification settings", then enable "Preview new messages".

If the above wasn't enable, try enabling it and then test your notifications to see if they can be open the way it's expected.

I've moved your post to the Versa 4 board for organization purposes.

Hope that helps.

Im not having a problem with text messages. I’m have a problem with messages from Snapchat app. I receive the notification on my Versa4 but for Snapchat but when I tap open, it says “link sent” on my Fitbit device. I’ve done all the troubleshooting suggested. I have Snapchat notifications turned on in Fitbit app as well which is why I’m getting the notifications. I just can’t read what the notification is from Snapchat specifically.

I think I misunderstood you, so had to test myself. I also get "link sent". When I tap "Open" the snapchat image appears on the phone. The watch cannot display the snap directly on the device.

I was able to read Snapchat messages on my Charge 4, obviously not pictures or video but Snapchat texts.
