Can't set up my Versa 4 with my Windows PC

I just upgraded my Versa 2 to a Versa 4. I tried to go to a Versa 3 a while back and the Windows Fitbit Dashboard did not work very well and I went back to the Versa 2.

So today when I got my Versa 4 which was super easy to set up. I clicked on the Fitbit window dashboard icon on my windows laptop and Bluetooth started to look for the Versa 4. So at home I moved my phone far away from laptop and lo and behold it synced and all the data including heart-rate came up. I like the windows version for entering food intake and the overall dashboard is bigger (48" Monitor) and better to view.

So far this Versa 4 is really nice.

Hope this phenomenon of this working isn't short lived. I keep reading that this does not work?

I know it isn't supported by Fitbit anymore.

You probably could copy the fitbit app from the old computer, but will the fitbit app be compatible with the newer OS? The app hasn't been updated in 5+ years.

Your tracker can not connect to both the phone and the computer. It is one or another, simply shut off the phones Bluetooth and the win pc should be able to talk to the tracker. However, if you sync through the phone, no need to sync again through the PC. The windows App and web site will have access to all your latest data through the online fitbit server

So this is interesting...I upgraded my old Tracfone to a newer model and except for losing cell service and text all my applications work fine including the Fitbit app. I have the old phone next to my laptop and use an app on that old phone for occasional security camera viewing. Since it sits so close to the laptop and large display my Windows Fitbit app never worked better or has any problems!! All data is current, no Bluetooth connection problems. Love it!! So instead of junking the old phone this works great!
