Text, email, call notifications no longer working. Under quick settings, it has sleep mode and do not disturb as "on" however when click on it, nothing happens. Under settings for display, any option to turn notifications is light grey and unable to select. Watch is synced and up to date.

Sad to hear that you're having issues with your Versa 4.
As a first approach to hopefully get things fixed, I'd suggest restarting your device by holding it's button for around 10 seconds until you'll see the Fitbit logo on it's display. Before doing so you should sync your device to not lose any data it might have tracked so far.

I understand where your concern is coming from since your Versa 4 is still not going out of sleep or DND mode despite the steps you've tried so far. I'll do my best to help you with this. I appreciate you've confirmed that you also tried a restart procedure as suggested by @Talahthas.
I did have a similar issue with my Versa 2 a while ago. I know that you mentioned that you already tried turning off sleep and DND mode, but please note that DND and sleep mode can't be turned on at the same time what means that is very likely that sleep mode is turned on (which keeps DND on and the screen wake remains off). Have you tried just tapping sleep mode to turn it off? When I had this issue, I was tapping all the options because I didn't know what was going, until I just tried turning off sleep mode, and that was it, my issue got solved. Would you mind double checking that?
If the above doesn't help, please try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

When I click on sleep mode is says locked for do not disturb. When I click on do not disturb it says locked while in sleep mode.
Also tried changing clock faces and still nothing.

I've got exactly the same problems as you. I fear I'm going to end up scrapping my, just out of warranty, Versa 4. The same destiny as my Versa 2. If so, I'll not be buying another Fitbit.
