Can't turn off sleep mode on my Versa 4

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fitbit won't receive notifications because my fitbit it stuck in sleep .ode and it won't let me turn off sleep mode. I've tried turning it off then back on tried just pressing it and it just says 'sleep mode locked do not disturb'

Just a guess:  If you were doing that in Quick Settings, maybe it is in scheduled time on in full settings.  go to full settings and see if Sleep Mode is scheduled to be on for certain hours.  If so, just turn that off there, then see if can turn on and off in Quick Settings.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

It's strange because in quick settings it's saying sleep mode is on but in full setting it's saying sleep mode is off.

Hi there, @Clinton91. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Versa 4 is still stuck in sleep mode. Thanks for the image attached in your last post, we'll be glad to continue assisting you.

I agree with @JohnnyRow's guessing. The image you attached is not the sleep schedule option. Keep in mind that sleep mode turns off automatically when you set a sleep schedule. To verify whether you have a sleep schedule, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Settings app and tap Quiet modes.
  2. Under Sleep mode, tap Schedule mode.
  3. Make sure the switch next to Off-hours is turned off.

Sleep mode automatically turns off at the time you schedule, even if you manually turned it on.

Only thing it will let me press on quiet modes and lit up is the focus mode but won't let me press and are darker are the do not disturb, sleep mode or schedule mode. So how do I change this so I can press these other options?

@Clinton91 Thanks for getting back and the details provided in your post.

As our last resort, I'd recommend performing a factory reset on your Versa 4. To do so, press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off and vibrates. When the customer feels the vibration, release the button, then immediately press and hold the button again. Wait for the Fitbit logo to appear, then as soon as the logo disappears, release the button, then press and hold the button again. When you feel the vibration, release the button, then wait for the watch to complete the factory reset.

Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account, your applications, alarms, etc.

Let me know if after trying the above your Versa 4 is back to normal.

I have this exact same problem.

The factory reset that you suggested was the only thing that worked.

It is a shame that having to do this and go through the whole set up process is the only fix to this glitch!

Thank you very much for your help, the factory reset has done the job now I'm getting notifications.

Many thanks,

Matt

Me too.  Thre kat"uodate" eas chambray very "buggy" and had caused all sorts of issues. I'll have to do this reset but presumably that means I even need to reinstall the clock face I have etc?

Should read "the last update was clearly"

I've done the factory reset and I now have a watch face and little else.  I do understand that a factory reset wipes my apps and data but as far as I now can see, it has also removed things like the step counter, heart rate and all of the other similar apps that actually came with the watch and were not installed by me.

I can find my way by a long press to a screen with 6 icons, including sleep (halfmoon), a watch icon that will lock in sleep mode, brightness, BUT  the settings icon is GREYED OUT and not accessible in any other way.

The watch had become quite hopeless after an "update" because sleep was locked in but is even worse now. All I needed to do was unlock sleep mode and now can do nothing at all.

What's to be done?
