@gibbyhome The Versa 4 Features and Specs doesn't list any music capability. The Versa3/Sense listed "Music Experience" in the Smart section of their Features and Specs. Gone in the Versa 4/ Sense 2 Features and Specs.

Sense 2, Luxe, Aria 2 | iOS | Mac OS
Take a look at the Fitbit help site for further assistance and information.

Spotify we know is out.
The official release doesn't mention music at all
At best, we may have the option to control music on the phone, and maybe Pandora or Deezer

We can now definitely answer the question by @gibbyhome with "No, there is no support at all for music in the new Versa 4 (and its pro version Sense 2), not even music control on phone".

Yep. Lack of music control on the new Fitbits is the last straw. After being a loyal Fitbit user since 2016, I will now finally making the switch from Fitbit to Apple Watch.

I contacted Support and they are planning for 3rd party app support in Dec 2022 for the Versa 4. Spotify, Google Pay, and more...

Kind of like releasing a 2023 Toyota Camry and not providing HVAC on the car until June. Really????

Excatly.... They should have held off on releasing it until the software to support it is ready.
Just like making cars without the chips to operate the vehicle.
Then telling people to come back later.

You're assuming Fitbit Support said a correct information. I'm not saying they are lying, but there are many evidences that support they have little contact with the company itself and might have information not accurate.

I sure hope you’re/they are right! Not having Spotify or other 3rd party apps (flashlight) was a huge disappointment when I got the Versa 4.

Do you know if the Spotify support will support Playlist downloads? If so I would return the pixel watch, the more I use it the more I find myself charging the watch and the os is terrible, yea you can install stuff but not having a full day of battery stinks

Glad you could get an answer from Support, all I was told is no date available and to comment in this forum. December would be great, as long as I know 3rd party app availability is in progress! Hopefully Starbucks and Pandora too!!

Maybe you should look into the Galaxy watch 5, it's better then the Pixel watch with the same wearOS.

I can wait until December.... but can they make an official update about this??? customer service on the phone seems to think this is not happening

Hi @itzelcruz - Fitbit are moving away from music support, and since March 2023 no watches have the ability to load music on the watch anymore, however a Sense or Versa 3 still has the ability to control any music playing on the phone with it's in built music controls and still has 3rd party apps, though you don't need Spotify premium or the app anyway.
But as the tendancy is to move away from music any features may get removed so if you need that feature you might look at Garmin watches, some have full music control (even onboard) and longer battery life and more features.
If you are not worried about battery life there are other brands too.

I have discovered how to control Spotify on my android phone from my Versa 4. The solution is outlined here.
