Hi @Jlogue2, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
Let me help you delete a food entry. I appreciate the efforts you've already made.
As described in our help article How do I delete a food entry? you should be able to delete a food entry by swiping right on the entry you want to delete and tap Delete (for iOS only).
If the entry still remains as logged and can't be deleted, it may be possible that it is already deleted but the layout shows otherwise. force quit the app and reopen it to see if it finally goes away, I appreciate your time in this process.

I'm trying to delete it off the menu portion where I added it - not from "todays entry" Does that make sense?
I wanted to add vegetable soup to the food menu choices, I misspelled vegetable and it repeated about 6 times 😞

Hi @Jlogue2, thanks for the clarification.
If you are talking about custom food (that means a log you created), then you should be able to swipe to the left just like you did to delete a food entry. In detail:
If you want just to edit the name, you choose edit instead of delete.

Hi @Jlogue2, thank you for your response.
This is not the way the Fitbit app should work. If the Fitbit app doesn't behave as described in our help article How do I delete a food entry? > iPhones and iPads, make sure the Fitbit app is up to date. For reference see How do I update the Fitbit app?
