Does the Versa 4 and Sense 2 track floors accurately?

Will the Versa 4 and the Sense 2 still have the problem of the number of floors that Fitbit has not been able to solve for many months on our current watches?

@Johann60 We have no way of knowing until reviews come out or until the device is released and people can report back.

For what it's worth, my Sense doesn't really have floor counting issues, so it's not a guarantee every device has this problem.

Floor counting never ever worked on fitbit4, since last update even the heartbeat in walking/running changed completely. And ‘the sleepscore’ is unable to do the job. What a disaster…

Hello @Johann60

I’ve had my Versa 4 on since yesterday afternoon and the floor count is spot on accurate to me. No problems whatsoever.

😉 I hope that provides you with an answer.

I’m happy for you, but my watch doesn’t count the floors properly. But it doesn’t affect my life or health. Thanks anyway for your answer. Good luck!

🤔 @Rvvdpv you said since last update your floors aren’t correct. Are you talking about the Versa 4 in particular or another Fitbit Model?

One person with private stats saying they haven't had a problem in one day, wouldn't have me running to buy one. 🤣

😉 That’s true @MarkMM that’s why I mentioned the length of time in my post. 🤞 I do hope it remains accurate.

@SunsetRunner good luck. Hope it works for you. Have you tested exercise heart rate performance?

I did a treadmill HIIT yesterday as well as early today @MarkMM  the performance seems accurate. I just wish something could be done about the awful graphs in the App. The graph provided on the actual Versa 4 is better on that tiny screen then the app truthfully.

The floor count is only accurate if you are super slow and pause at the top of each flight and don't move your arm while you are going up the flight of steps.  I can go up 14 flights of steps and it will only count 4 flights one day but may count 12 the next.

😂 LOL I’m 76, not flying up anymore but not not so slow that counting stairs will work…Forget that fitbit 4 can count stairs, problem over!

Hello, does the versa 4 count floors correctly?

Hi @Johann60 - my Versa 4 is counting correctly so far, none of the random counting that appeared on the Sense.

There may of course be exceptional conditions where it gets out by 1 or 2, but it's close to what the original Versa reports, which never was a problem.

Mine must be counting steps on the floors it had me at 64 floors. But then again is before it bricked out to just a black screen after 5 days.

Rvvdvp,

I have used fitbit trackers since 2013. My Versa 2 worked great for 3 years, but started to lose battery capacity and recently got a Versa 4. It has good battery life 4-5 days, but it can't count flights of stairs and the heart rate doesn't give me zone minutes during exercise. the two categories are flipped as compared to the same activity recorded by the old versa 2. Stairs are in the 40's while zone minutes register 8 -10. That's  the opposite of my average days for the last 10 years.

Very unsatisfied with this one.

Stairs counting? now and then. Since a few days, now and then no heartrate!! Cleaned the watch, did not help. But I’m still alive (I think). Pffff

@Alan621 Return it and get another Versa 2? I'm sorry I didn't get a backup Versa 2 when Costco had them on sale for $85.

Hi I recently ?upgraded? from a Versa 3 to Versa4 and nothing seems to work as well. Most important to me is to know heart rate, Many time when I role my wrist I get two dashes. On Floors my 2 hour run in the morning has recorded about 100 floors fro years. Now I am getting 300 to 500!!! Why??? Nothing seems to work as well on this watch. I bought the Versa 4 because suddenly my Versa 3 refused to charge. Jungle Runner.

Hi @JungleRunner - Versa 3 and Sense watches and later have an issue with charging which can be a cleaning or charge cable issue - see How to check charge cable - Sense/Versa 3 won't charge, won't start or blank screen - you may still be able to get your Versa 3 working, unless it suffered water damage..

If your Versa 4 is not counting floors or displaying HR it may be faulty and need replacing. But the Versa 3 and 4 are not noted for good heart rate measurement when moving, though if you have tattoos that can be the source of problem.
