Doesn't show map route after run

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've noticed my last couple of runs has not recorded my pace per km anymore and doe not display my route on a map where it previously it did before.

When I run, I open the fitbit app on my phone first, refresh it, then hold the shortcut button on the side of my watch when I'm about to run. It takes a few mins to connect.

Also when I go to look at my watch occasionally is keeps displaying 'to pay, double press on the left side button and tap pay'. How do you stop this message appearing?

Also when are the apps going to be rolled out to versa 4? I've had this watch for over a year now and there's been no updates that's come through for this. Apps are available on on older versions so why not the newest one?

Any help on this will be much appreciated, thanks fiona

A couple of thoughts @Feew

  • Do you manually start your run?
  • When the watch is recoerding the run, do you get the message GPS Connecting? Does the message go away?
  • Have you checked to see if GPS is set to turn on?
  • Your GPS is built into the watch and doesn't use the phone's GPS
  • The Fitbit app starts running when the phone is powered up. On Android phones, if you have opened the fitbit app, you want the UI running in the background when the screen shuts off.

To check the GPS option

  • On the watch, swipe right
  • Tap all
  • Tap the desired exercise
  • Scroll up to GPS

Hi Rich, thanks very much for getting back to my post. I've had another trail today, checked all the settings and realised it was the app permission. I got a new android phone last month and it must have set it back to 'don't allow'. I've changed this now and it seems to be working again yay! Thanks for all your help 🙂 also if you have any ideas on the pay message and apps let me know, Thanks fiona
