My new Versa 4 is very disappointing. When I start exercise, there is no manual button to start ( there was at first). The exercise just starts counting automatically but later when looking on the app it has missed out a large chunk. Plus I don't get splits with it and the map of the run is not showing. I have had to get Strava to get a map and splits.
It worked fine for the first couple of runs but not now and I cannot see how to get the manual start in settings.
Any ideas?

@Keen_parkrunner Welcome to the Fitbit community!
Versa 4 is able to automatically start tracking an exercise after a given time period. Using this feature, you might loose the time from having started this exercise. To precisely track an exercise, you have to start tracking that exercise manually. To do so, just swipe sideways until you see the tile for starting an exercise where you can find the last three tracked exercises on top and a button to select a different exercise to track.

Thanks but where do you get to the manual option? It just does not come up for me.If I swipe up and it offers me to set a goal it still starts automatically before I have had a chance to do anything.

@Keen_parkrunner There are actually two ways to manually start an exercise tracking. You can either press Versa 4's side button to access a list of installed apps. By swiping vertically you'll find the tile for exercise tracking. Tap on it and choose whatever exercise you're going to track.
Or you can swipe sideways from your clock face to find the exercise tile if it is installed on you Versa 4. After having tapped on that, you find the last three exercises you've tracked for quick accessing them again and, below those, a button to get access to a list of all available exercises.

Thanks. That really does help. I can now see an arrow to start the exercise. I'll try that and see if it tracks better.
