Exposed wire from charge point

So I've had my versa 4 for about three years now and i noticed earlier in the day my watch was scratching my wrist? Come to take it off and theres an exposed wire from the charge contact point? Has anyone else had this issue? What should I do about it? I frequently clean my watch I'm not sure what could have caused this.

Hi @deaddreamweaver - check the charge cable to see if it is missing one pin.

If so you'll need a new charge cable, if you can remove the protruding bit from the back of the watch.

However this should not happen, if all is working as it should, and could indicate a watch fault, most commonly from getting wet or a basic battery fault causing it to overheat when charging.

It is important that the watch also behaves normally as to whether to proceed and whether the charge cable is intact, which if it is you may have to carefully push the exposed pin back in and not pull it off. And in that case it is no longer waterproof (including sweat).

It may still work but if it gets hot when charging stop immediately as it is dangerous.

If it happens again or for your safety the watch may need replacing depending on the exact cause.

@deaddreamweaver A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message and info. As our friend @Guy_  mentioned, we do not recommend keeping the cable in use, if you see any kind of damage.

Please contact Support if you  haven't done so yet . They will see what they can do for you.

Sorry don't know why this didn't send sooner

it's not an issue with the charger itself, its the port on the back of the watch. The wire that was loose came from the charge receptors on the watch

@deaddreamweaver Thank you for your reply and explanation.  In that case, as it is a physical damage on the device, Support would be your contact point to check what they can do for you.
