Fitbit Changes on the app. - feedback

The Fitbit I know and use seems to have gone now 😟

firstly they removed ‘Dark Mode’

now they have changed the ‘sleep part’ with some awful dots and lines that are barely readable!

when this Fitbit breaks I’m not renewing it!! I will buy a different product!!!

unless you improve this app, you will loose slot of customers, like me who ask for things to be put back and it seems you don’t even read anything in this community, because if you did you will see how many people are unhappy  and frustrated with the Fitbit !! 🤨🧐😤😖🤔😠😡

Hi @M4C - the current problematic V4 Fitbit App started in September 2023 and is upsetting many people. I never upgraded and the V3 version is working fine.

Im with you on this. I’ve had  Fitbit’s for years and always preferred them over Apple however after upgrading from Versa 3 to Versa 4 a week ago I’ve had nothing but issues. The app is now useless since migrating to google and it seems there’s no way to go back. The exercise tracking is usually around a mile out over my usual route and I can no longer access the ‘exercise days’ tile on the app dashboard or see a map of my route with split times activity zones etc. it’s a nightmare and not what I’d hoped for when purchasing the new watch. I think it’s time to leave Fitbit and move to the dark side!!!

I am returning my Versa 4 after finding out that the Fitbit app does not support messages from apps that you list on your phone that you would like to get messages sent to the watch. Example; I will get a notification displayed on the Versa 4 of a breaking news story. When I select "OPEN",it use to then open the app on your phone so the entire story could be read. Now the the Versa will display "LINK SENT". The link is nowhere to be found on the phone, nor the app will not open up to be read. After weeks of searching the forums and reddit and the internet, I found a great number of users also had the same problem but there was never a workable solution offered any the moderators for a solution. I finally came across a response by a moderator that stated it is likely the app is no longer supported by the Fitbit app, now owned by Google, despite the app is checked off on the list of apps you would like to be notified by. So now the Versa 4 is reduced to an expensive tracker and can no longer be listed as a smart watch like the Apple Watch or the Google smart watch. I am returning the watch for a refund and will never buy another Fitbit watch again.

I have been using Fitbits since 2010 and have upgraded numerous times, now to a Versa 4. I am very unhappy with the way the app has changed. It literally tells you nothing. The sleep tab is terrible now. Who can even read this? I lost my step days over my goal a few months ago, just overall terrible now!! I hate to say I will not be purchasing a new Fitbit when it comes time to upgrade again!! So dissatisfied!

Ditto!  Missing data and the new app features are terrible.  I’ll be looking for something other than Fitbit.

Totally agree! I have not had a sleep score for days! The sleep chart is terrible. I have been a Fitbit user since 2014 and just upgraded to the Versa 4 in March. Google has done a terrible disservice to the Fitbit brand.
