Fitbit Pay is not working properly on my Versa 4

I started using my device this morning. When I’m moving around, I get a notification to use Fitbit Pay almost every 60 seconds. Two chats with customer service failed to resolve the issue. Im returning it no matter what, but I’m wondering if this is happening to anyone else?
