i get an error message every time I tap on the wallet icon. " An error has occurred please try again" I have tried clearing the cache. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and rebooting the phone.

Sad to hear that you are having an issue with Google Wallet for your Versa 4. A possible solution to this problem could be starting Google Wallet all over. To do so, please go to your Fitbit Dashboard:
Next select the gear icon in the upper right corner and select Versa 4. You'll see a list of available options for your device. Select Fitbit Pay at the end of this list to disable Fitbit Pay. Now sync your Versa 4 with the Fitbit app on your phone. Finally set up Fitbit Pay respectively Google Wallet in the Fitbit app on your phone from scratch.
