Fitbit Versa won't track Heart Beat/Sleep after firmware update

Hi,

I have updated my Fitbit Versa 4 firmware to the latest release (194.86) and since then it does not track the heart rate and the sleep anymore. Anyone experiencing the same issue? Have somebody been able to solve it?

I have updated about 1 week ago, and I have not been able to figure out a solution yet. Also, I have noticed the green light on the back of the device is not blinking anymore, so it looks like after the update the heart rate sensor on the watch is not working at all.

Mine stopped working last week for tracking sleep. I bought the device only a month ago so definitely a firmware issue.

Yes! It also appears to be tracking heart rate at night since I am getting a resting heart rate. I put in a support ticket and it was escalated to the next tier.

Ok, thank you, it seems a slightly different issue then mine then. In my case the watch is not tracking the heart rate anymore. In my case the sleep not been tracked in only a consequence of the heart rate sensor not working anymore after the update. I haven't done yet, but I'll raise a support ticket too now.

So quick update on this: I have contacted Fitbit support and went through some troubleshooting with them, which confirmed that following the firmware update the heart rate sensor stopped working. They said they would normally try sending me a new watch to see if that solves the issue. However, since the watch is not covered by warranty anymore, they will not take any further action on it.

I am simply speechless. They released an update which essentially killed my Versa 4 and will not do anything about it. Fitbit is really going downhill with no return.

Same here I just bought a new versa Fitbit 4 a month ago and it’s no longer tracking my heart or my sleep.  I’m going to contact support

I have the same problem. I recieved my watch as a christmass present 8 days ago. The watch worked well for 3 days. I could see my sleeprate but after 3 days I recieve a bleu line. That's all and no sleep score anymore

I was able to get sleep last night, as did my mom. I did a reset yesterday but she did not.

Sadly, that has been my experience before as well with previous fitbits, but they did offer a discount to get a new one.
