My fitbit failed in early August. Today, I charged it up and have tried all sorts to get it to connect to the app. The bluetooth won't recomnnect, so I'm assuming the watch is completely broken. Is there any hope? It's really frustrating as my subscription was pain in June and it seems impossible to actually speak to a human being about the problem.

Mine has the red x too. When I called fitbit about it they said I had reported it lost or stolen so they deactivated it. When I told them I did no such thing and was wearing the fitbit as we spoke they then told me they had to refer my case to the special team and they would contact me via email when they resolved my case. That was 2 weeks ago. I still haven't heard back from anyone at fitbit. When I call for updates they have nothing and say my case has been upgraded to the highest tier possible. I ended up having to buy a new watch through a different provider. Fitbit aka Google is a joke with extremely poor customer service. Best of luck.
