My Fitbit has deleted thousands of steps this week alone.

 

I am completing a walking challenge for charity and I have been logging the steps manually on my charity page.

Noticed for some weeks through the day my steps on the Fitbit itself jump up and down by a few hundred, but at the end of the day a sync to the app sorts it out.

Just checked now and for the last week along there's over 10,000 steps that have been deleted, pushing my average right down. Weirdly, the milage is the same and looks to be correct.

This has been going on for quite a bit now. People on Reddit are continuously reporting the same. Support is providing no resolution. Paid customers are left with this critical issue. Just a random selection (I can keep on adding sources if desired, no shortage of them; just trying to help the developers gain an insight into the widespread scale of this issue affecting many paid customers):
