Fitbit won't sync or pair since new app or switched to Google??

Anyone else having this problem? Every time I want it to sync I have to go through the whole uninstall/reinstall, turn on, turn off, restart phone etc etc. And even then it doesn't work.

I switched from Fitbit to Google the other day and I don't know whether that has anything to do with it? But now I can't un switch. 

It's driving me mad - might just ditch it and be free of the whole thing!

Same for me (inspire HR) since the last android application update (17 october 2023). Tried to uninstall/install the fitbit app. Not working at all
