Google Message notifications not working on Versa 4

I've tried everything including new phone and I still cannot get texts or emails as notifications on my versa 4.  I do get phone call notifications.

It worked fine before the mandatory switch from messages. Now I'm on Google messages. Did my versa 4 break coincidentally when messages changed? Help!

Hi @Tintex it's something that happened to me, too. A forum member @Joandonny posted the solution and here it is:

"Go to your Fitbit app, bottom left corner hit the TODAY button. Then in top left corner hit the button that displays the battery life of your Fitbit. This will take you to your device. Tap on the device, mine is Versa 4, then scroll down to NOTIFICATIONS, then choose text messages. The blue bubble for messages should be checked.

After I did all of this I restarted my phone and now I am receiving text messages on my Fitbit. Hope this helps and good luck!"

I sooooo wish this had worked but I have tried it over and over without it working. Do you think my versa 4 is broken? It worked fine before the google messages app. Thank you

@Tintexat least you gave it a try. Next you'll need to contact customer support by going to this page - click to go there - and filling out the required fields. As you progress, you will go from page to page, adding any required information. Ultimately you will arrive at the place where you can decide to receive or to make a call directly to support. It's the way you'll get things going.

Oh my gosh, you will not believe this. It randomly started working right after I read your reply!!! It's magic (she says with a sly smile). Thank you for your reply. I am just so happy to have my texts back.

Wonderful news @Tintex !  Now you won't miss those messages. When it happened to me, it really felt strange after feeling the notifications on my wrist for so many years.
