Hi,
Just received m brand new Versa 4 and everything seems to work just fine.
But when I tried to make use of the new Google wallet function the disappointment came.
None of my cards work and just a screen with "contact your bank" appears.
I can tell that it's not my bank as it clearly stated there that once Google Wallet (Pay) is setup it works on any device.
According to Google support everything should be fine in Germany.
So my question is, will it stay that way?

I too have the same issue - my cards work fine in Google Pay/Wallet on my phone but won't sync to the Fitbit app. I'm in Australia.

Hi,
Nothing changed, I will give them some time before I will just return the watch because it lacks advertised functionalities. I received a bot message via twitter, telling me that my bank isn't supported by Fitbit pay... Which is not what was advertised or I asked about.
I guess they didn't actually implement Google wallet but transformed Fitbit pay into it.

It does and when I click on it the wallet app opens on my phone to connect with watch, then it tell me that cards I already have in my wallet aren't supported....

Fitbit did say that some cards that work on your phone will not work on the watch. My guess is that their is some step the bank needs to take.

I received the answer " please check with your bank, if they support smart watches" multiple times now. My bank just doesn't care what device I use. They support Google pay, end of story.
Could I please get a clear answer if banks that support Google wallet will be supported by the versa 4 as well?
I have a 2 weeks left to just return the watch.

I have the same problem. App ask about verification code, but I have no idea how to get it from Revolut.

So, I have just returned my Versa 4 and waiting for refund. I don't trust Fitbit will do something to fix this issue. Google Wallet for Fitbit is simply not the same as Google Wallet, and they refuse to officially admit it. I'm very disappointed to find out that they had launched such an unfinished product because otherwise it could be a great watch with good build quality and battery life. Only if they listen to what many people report here and do something about it. I am considering buying a Garmin Venu instead.

I'm in the U.S. and have the same problem. One of my cards works in Google Wallet on my Versa 4. Oddly enough, it's the same (and only) card that worked in Fitbit Pay. I have 3 other cards in Google Wallet on my phone, but do not work on the watch. Oh, and don't even get me started on Google Maps. That's another disaster that I suspect they aren't going to fix. The Samsung Galaxy 5 is looking better and better.

My return window at Best Buy closes in about 9 days. My wife and I both really like everything about the watched outside the the compete lack of not only previously supported apps, but also the ones that Fitbit clearly states will work and were "coming soon." Even the description on the Best Buy site states Google Wallet and Google Maps compatibility. It's just frustrating because we really do like the watches and feel dismissed about the promises and compatibility. If I didn't but these during a Black Friday sale then they would have already been returned. I'm torn.

It was announced that not all cards that work with Google pay, will woe with Google pay on the watch. When I set up Google pay, all I needed was the 3 digit security code found on the back of the card.
Fitbit and Google have everything setup, unfortunately neither one will be able to get into the banks computers to do their part in setting up. Therefore, you may want to contact the bank.

This whole line of "talk to your bank" is just a tactic. Mine explicitly states that all cards can be used on Google pay (now wallet) and Apple pay no matter the hardware.
As others mentioned, it's probably only Fitbit pay via Google wallet and not the actual thing.
Looks like I'll send the watch back at the end of the return period.
