Hi,
Just received m brand new Versa 4 and everything seems to work just fine.
But when I tried to make use of the new Google wallet function the disappointment came.
None of my cards work and just a screen with "contact your bank" appears.
I can tell that it's not my bank as it clearly stated there that once Google Wallet (Pay) is setup it works on any device.
According to Google support everything should be fine in Germany.
So my question is, will it stay that way?

@Rich_Laue, I don' t buy it. What does it mean that some cards can work and some can't? Why is it so? For me it's just an easy excuse. My bank is on the Fitbit's list servicing Google Wallet but not Fitbit Pay, I think this is the reason why it is not working. They shouldn' call it Google Wallet but Fitbit Pay with Google Wallet label..

I talked to 3 banks...Discover, Capital One and Barclay. All work in Google Pay/Wallet....none of which work in Fitbit. All 3 say that it should work and have no further help available because they show that it should work. Banks tell me to pound sound, Fitbit tells me to pound sand...this level of customer service gives me all the fuzzies and really makes me want to stay loyal.

1.5 months without any substantial answer from Fitbit. I triggered my return yesterday.

Yeah, this has been the deal breaker for me. The functionality of the Versa 4 is just so poor. The fitness tracking seems top notch, but if you just want a fitness tracker get a Garmin.
I need to consider options, but will go for an Wear OS watch with Strava, Spotify and Google Wallet apps.

a friend of mine just sent me a link to a (new?!?) page from fitbit.

my bank is on that list, still did not work while I had the watch ^^

Same here. My bank has been on the list since the beginning and Google Wallet is still not working. So I returned mine Versa 4 and waiting for refund. I might buy it again but only if they fix this. But my hope is wearing very thin though.

Anybody have tried to use CURVE (I think that it is only available to the UK and Europe) with Google Wallet? It works with Fitbit Pay (and you can use with different banks), but I don't know if it works with Google Wallet (And I am afraid to update from Fitbit Pay to Google Wallet by now...)

I was on an online chat and they had me restart my Fitbit, then delete the app on my phone, then add the app again. I was able to add my cards to Google wallet!!!

Has anyone considered calling the help number on the back of their CC. If the bank for a request to add pay to your tracker the bank will have a record, and possibly an error message.

☝️ I have tried this with my banks and it doesn't work. They are not the problem 🤷🏼:male_sign:
Have you added any card in your Versa 4 with Google Wallet (not Fitbit Pay)?

Exact same problem with mine. Got on to customer services and no help at all.

The same thing is happening to me in Canada.
My credit card works on Google Wallet as it is one of the accepted bank cards, but on Fit Bit Pay, it is not one of the accepted back card.
When I had the option to switch from Fit Bit Pay to Google Wallet, I thought it would work.
However, I read somewhere that it's because Google Wallet is just an UI up front, the bank end is still going through Fit Bit Pay, hence my card is still blocked. I get the same message error saying I should contact my bank, but it's not the problem here.
Fit Bit Support Tech should fix the back end so that Google Wallet is not blocked by Fit Bit Pay; otherwise, the switch to Google Wallet is just a cover up, and it's not functioning as it should be. And if the watch is not functioning as it should be, how has NO ONE IN THIS FORUM have thought that the company is misleading in it's advertisement? I would think that this would raise a falsified claims issue from a legal perspective.

I am not sure... This can't be so "easy"... 😂
When I was using Fitbit Pay, I could add a credit card. But I can't add the same card using Google Wallet in my Versa 4.
If Google Wallet was just an UI up front, the same card should work... And it doesn't...

I had a similar problem non of my cards worked with google wallet on versa 4 so I found a list of banks supported by Google wallet on versa 4 even though one of my banks was listed but only for a particular card type and my card type was different so I created an account with wise and setup a digital card which worked perfectly with google wallet on versa 4 and guess what the email I got from wise stated that I had set my card up for fitbit pay. I suppose the Google wallet on versa 4 is some sort of a mix between Google wallet and fitbit pay.

I had a case open with Fitbit support and I specifically asked this question:
Me: "It looks like it isn’t really Google Wallet, just a re-named Fitbit Pay. Can you confirm that this is the case?"
Fitbit: "Just to inform you, Google Pay and Fitbit Pay is different from each other"
They then closed the case (... but I now have another case open)
Support is atrocious 😞

I have removed and re-added the app twice, I have also factory reset my Versa twice ... and I still have the problem 😞
