Hi there, @Watch3212. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will be glad to answer your inquiry.

When you use the Exercise app, you see a top, middle, and bottom stat. Your middle stat is a series of real time stats that will vary with different exercise types.  You tap the screen to scroll through those stats. The current time is one of the middle stats. For more information, see How do I track workouts with my Fitbit device?

HI I guess then that what I want to change is to turn OFF the exercise ap.
I do want to see how many steps /floors/ and all the rest, however, I
don't want the notification. Don't want the "walk detected" . I don't want
the top/middle/bottom screen to come on.
Can I adjust something to do this?

Hi @Watch3212   You can turn off the Walk detect feature on your Versa 4 by doing the following:

  • Short press the button, select the Exercise app, then select the walk shortcut
  • Swipe up on the tiny "^" on the bottom of the screen
  • Look for Auto-start and toggle it off

Your Versa 4 will track your walks using the auto-recognition feature that recognizes certain high movement activities.  Fitbit calls this SmartTrack.  It records in the background.  You don't see the details until you are done and review the details in the Fitbit app.  SmartTrack can track the following: walk, run, bike, elliptical, aerobic workout, other workouts, and swimming.  You need the Exercise app on the Versa 4 for other activities.

Neither way reports floors in the exercise details, but they are added to your daily total.
