I can't answer texts in SMS

I'm having an issue with answering text messages in my SMS app. The notifications come through and I can read the message just fine, and I can answer both in signal and on messenger. I have SMS selected as my default for text messages, and I've gone through articles granted all the permissions, that they tell me to do. Alexa works just fine so I know my microphone is enabled so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Thank you!

Hi @MLK61 - if you have an iPhone you may not be able to (an Apple restriction), but as you can answer others, you may not have an iPhone?

@MLK61 , A warm welcome to the Community ! Thank you for your message. 
As mentioned by @Guy_ , if you are using an iOS mobile device, you won't be able to reply to any notification, besides the Fitbit App internal ones, such as messages, cheers, taunts, and friend requests.
