I can't see my text messages on Versa 4 after the update

Since the last update I can no longer see my text messages on my versa 4 and my battery life only last roughly 2 days vs 4 to 5 days.  Any ideas on how to get my text messages back on my versa?

Hi @Crtide13 - versions of the new V4 Fitbit App can lose connection and have syncing problems and if so you won't get notifications or good battery life.

Check also that your watch Quick Settings are correct, pull down in the watch face and turn them all off.

There are various remedies for the syncing issue, starting with Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

If you want to verify your watch is still ok , charge and restart it and turn off the phone's Bluetooth.

If the battery lasts better then the watch is fine (of course you won't get any notifications on the watch during this test).

Hi there, @Crtide13. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 has stopped receiving notifications and that the battery is not lasting as expected. We're here to help!

As @Guy_ has suggested, please check whether your Versa 4 is in sleep mode. When sleep mode is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. To wake your tracker, firmly tap the screen twice.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.

If the above doesn't describe your issue, please see Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones and/or Why are notifications delayed or missing? depending on your phone.

Regarding battery life, bear in mind that using features such as always-on display and GPS require more frequent charging.

We recommend that you use the charging cable that came with your device. Note that after several hundred charge cycles, your device may need to be charged more often. If you turn on always-on display, your Versa 4 will have a battery life of up to 3 days and if you also use built-in GPS continuously it'll have a battery life of up to 12 hours.

If you haven't done so yet, please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this article.

@RiekoC Thank you so much for moving the post to the correct board!
