Miles not tracking in Fitbit versa 4

Hi there -

I am using fitbit versa 4 since 4 months and suddenly in last 2 days, i see my fitbit app/versa is not tracking my miles.

Even though i walk 12000+ steps yesterday, it shows miles as "0". Rest of the details are accurate and as normal.

@Fitbit support - do we know why this is happening? I tried everything like Restarting device, deleting the device and add again in app. but none of them worked.

Anyone knows, what could be wrong?

I have had the same problem apparently fitbit are working on this bug. What you need is you're walking/running stride length I googled it and you will get a chart I'm 5ft 10in so my walking stride is 29inches. Then go to your fitbit app on phone/tablet or whatever device you're using. Go to Fitbit settings mine is in the top right corner on home screen and scroll down to preferences and then to exercise you will see stride length enter walking/running settings in inches when you no what stride length you are (again google stride length and a height chart will pop up). After that do not press Automatically button leave it off and you should be go to go. I hope this helps .

Hi. I have tried all of this. My versa 3 worked fine until 5 days ago. Thought it was the watch so got a new versa 4 with the same issue. Anyone have any other suggestions?

This worked for me. Thank you. So glad it's working again!

@Fitbit has this been resolved? I’m experiencing the exact same issue. I’ve had my versa4 for over 2 years. It’s always worked. Was Fitbit impacted by crowd strike issue?

I’ve had exactly the same with a versa 3 that stopped recording mileage a couple of days ago and went through fixing it with Fitbit support to be told it was outside warranty so buy a new one. I’ve now got a Versa 4 and have the same issue 🤷‍:female_sign: my stride length is set as auto so don’t see how this fix is going to help?

Thank you. This helped me to solve the issue temporarily.

Temporary, you can set your stride length manually. You can refer this based on your height: https://www.verywellfit.com/set-pedometer-better-accuracy-3432895

Do not know the timeline to resolve this issue.
