Popping this here in the hopes others will not be caught out has I have.
I purchased a Fitbit Versa 4 and had high hopes. It was more expensive than any other ware able I have every purchased, but was incredibly unsatisfactory.
The hardware is really comfortable, however that is where the good stuff ends
- The GPS is very poor, and had me walking in the middle of a river and kept dropping out when my wife's Garmin device (as my previous devices have) held a steady connection. Distance and speed are therefore pointless
- Does not measure heart rate whilst swimming. Not explained in the promotional material.
- Within the App you gain Activity Zone points, with a goal of 150 per week meaning you can improve heart help. But in reality this measurement is not linked to activity but simply heart rate. You could be sat down, but if you heart rate increases, congratulations you just hit your goal!
- Support is terrible and they just have you factory resetting the device and pressing all sorts of buttons to 'fix' what are actually features, but in order to appease the caller they feel obliged to do something.
Anyway mine is now being returned and in fairness good riddance.
