New Versa 4 is shutting itself off

ANSWERED

I bought a Fitbit Versa 4 that arrived yesterday morning. I charged it all day and wore it to bed last night hoping to get good sleep stats. But the watch would not stay on. It kept shutting itself off, and when I turned it on again, it defaulted the the very first page, "which language do you prefer?" That is a SERIOUS FAILURE!

Hi there, @durf786. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your new Versa 4 is shutting down. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon at the top-left corner.
  2. Tap your Fitbit device image.
  3. Near the bottom of the page, tap Sync Now.

If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device once again as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

I have exactly the same issues and did try all the suggested restarts, stoppage, update even factory reset. It doesn't seem to make any difference. My Versa 4 version is 61.200001.210.26. My Fitbit app is running on Xiaomi Redmi 13C. What is the next step? It's clear on this Fitbit community that is starts to be a common issue. Is Fitbit/Google looking into this or just ignoring all of us?
