New Versa 4 will not connect

Brand new Versa 4. When trying to sync it was frozen on a screen that said connected.  It did connect to my phone briefly but now my phone can not locate it. It seemed to happen when I attempted to update the versa. I attempted to restart by holding the button for 10 seconds. The versa buzzes and the screen is black. I have done the reset a few times now and the only response is the quick buzz.

Hi @Humbugice. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for providing the information regarding this difficulty with your Versa 4 and for trying to fix it on your own.

I'd suggest you try the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 4 from your phone's Bluetooth (or make sure it's no longer showing up there) and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 4.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.
  • Once your Versa 4 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 4 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

I tried this suggestion and it still says that the Versa is not found. Should there be green lights on the back because mine does not have that
