New Versa 4 won't turn on or charge

Hello,
I just got my Versa 4 and so I opened it up to set it up. I connected it to charge, it vibrated once and realized nothing was coming up to show it was charging so I tried several different outlets etc. Same thing. I went to reset it (like I have seen in several posts) and all it does is vibrate once when I push the button in, but no matter how long I hold in the button to reset it, just a blank screen. So I let it sit for an hour to "charge" and still nothing.
Any idea what is going on? Is it faulty? Thanks in advance.
