No GPS signal and then screen freezes

My Versa 4 has worked great in the last 6 weeks since I bought it, gps tracking walks no problems. But since last Sunday it's no longer picking up GPS for any outdoor activity. Nothing has changed for this to have now stopped working. Plus when it tries to find signal and fails the screen then locks for a minute or so. 

 

I have googled the problem, have tried everything - everything is on that should be on, GPS on the walking settings, tried factory reset, in an area where signal should be fine, all updated, have tried other problem solving advice from here (eg turning off the automatically track walk function) which seemed to work for someone etc. But absolutely nothing is making any difference and I'm out of ideas to solve this. I fear with the screen freezing too its a bigger problem for my watch..... Help.
