Not responding as should

Had new verse 4 about two weeks now. Had many fitbits over the years.  But this one is just a joke. 
None my text messages come through. 
continually disconnecting from app, even with phone in hand. 
Done all the usual hard reset, uninstalling reinstalling. Been waiting on actual help chat for hours no reply. 
it a joke didn’t have this issue before google took over.  Why I paying so much money for it not to function right or get actual assistance.  
Defeats the objective as I’ve had to constantly pull out my phone to check things on task where I should have needed too.  
pretty much ready to return and get my money back.  What a waste.  Merged company product never the same again ever.

Hi @BritishblkBee - the watch may actually be fine. 

There are regular bugs with the Fitbit App and back end services, some of which are phone type dependant.

Have a look in the forums, including for your phone type, for matching problems.
