Let me start at the beginning.
Once upon a time i had a Versa 2. It was a nice watch. The devise only broke once. But those marvelous people at fitbit replaced it with a used one. Which im not complaining about as the second hand devise i got lasted the duration of its working life.
I had to get an upgrade as the old one wouldnt show routes and gps. It was a bit hit and miss while i was out on my bicycle. I did try to ask a question in the community but never got any real replys. Yes i do ride on the pavement at times. Its a jungle out there. I used cycle paths etc. But most of my riding was in forests and mountains. Yes i am the oldest mountain biker i know.
Anyway im digressing. So back to the question in hand.
On my versa 2 when walking or jogging etc. When i completed a mile the dear thing use to give me a little vibration, Buzz if you like, to tell me of my acomplisment that i have walked a mile. This could of course be adjusted to realistically what ever i wanted. Half mile, Two miles etc etc. It was almost a small boost that i would have the knowledge that i have gone a mile in these shoes and almost egg me on to do more. A small rewald for a job well done. I am very easy to please.
Now to the present day.
I now am the proud owner of a Versa 4. Its quite an upgrade for the most part. Does almost everything I want. Even talks to me sometimes. wow its like star trek. BUT. It no longer gives me that little buzz of an acomplishment when I complete a mile. I have attempted to play with all the settings and fiddled around with the app. Looking in hope that its something simple. Yes notifications are all turned on. In fact even notifications i dont really need but alias. when i walk a mile it doesnt even stir.
Its almost embarrassing. As my walking buddy has a galaxy watch and not only does it vibrate at the turn of a mile it also starts voicing stats and says with a loud steady american voice "1 Mile completed"
Now i know a fitbit isnt a galaxy and i hope i didnt get the wrong replacement?
Is this a feature that has been missed out on the versa 4 or is it just a simple toggle of something?
I hope i get a few helpful replys as when i asked regarding my problem above regarding clocking up miles and gps signal on my versa 2 The fitbit gods were not awakened and i resided myself to going out and buying something new to eleveate the issue.

@AbigailA The Versa 4 navigation different from the Versa 2. The "Lap" settings are available. Here's a path:
The Sense4/Versa 4 introduced screen tiles. Swiping left/right navigates you through the tiles. When you swipe to the Exercise tile, you see three shortcuts. They are your three most recently used shortcuts. If you tap on one of those, it will start the exercise with the saved settings. If you are on that tile, you can tap on All. This is another way to open the Exercise app and you can change settings using this path, too.

Thank you Lzee. Very useful and informative. See i knew it was just a setting. I didnt think the fitbit gurus would leave out such a feature.
I can once again be praised in a fitbit fashion when i have completed a mile.
Ill get out and try it soon as.
Be safe and happy walking/running/spinning/biking. or whatever you do as your thing 😁
