Hi @SunsetRunner - firstly pull down on the watch face to get to Quick Settings and make sure all icons are off.

Hold the button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to start.

Then sync, or resolve syncing issues, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

It may not stay synced for long and you will need to repeat the process. Sometimes toggling the phone's Bluetooth may resolve it but with this problem in the new V4 Fitbit App you can't rely on receiving communications.

Hi there, @SunsetRunner. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about your Versa 4 not receiving notifications. We'll do our best to help you with this.

I agree with @Guy_'s first suggestion, as if your Versa 4 is also not vibrating for other features like your alarms or step goal, it's very likely that your Fitbit device is on sleep mode. When sleep mode is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. To wake your tracker, firmly tap the screen twice.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.

If the above doesn't describe your issue and the other suggestions shared by Guy_ don't help, please see Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones and/or Why are notifications delayed or missing? depending on your phone.
