Notifications are not coming through my Versa 4

I bought the Versa 4 and synced it with my Samsung 24. I do not have any notifications coming through. All of my settings have been set up to receive them. I have deactivated it and synced it again, but still not working.

Phone calls come through the fitbit, but no texts,  emails, etc. It says "no notifications".  Really frustrating for a new device to have issues already.

Hi @CarolynBR - just in case pull down on the watch face to get to Quick Settings and turn off all the icons to make sure the watch can receive notifications.

The phone has to be nearby and syncing and setup correctly so that any notifications that appear on the phone's status bar can appear.

See How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to check your setup is correct.

Hi there, @CarolynBR. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is not receiving notifications. Thanks for already checking that all settings are correct. We're here to help!

If the issue persists after following @Guy_ and @fitmarc's recommendations, have you checked if the "Preview Messages" have been enabled?  If you haven't done so yet, try the following:

  1. Open your "Messages" app on your Android device.
  2. Go to "Settings."
  3. Click on "Notifications."
  4. Make sure there is a check mark next to "Preview Message"

If the issue is not yet solved afterwards, I'd recommend resetting the notifications settings on your Fitbit app. To do so, please try the following in the order listed:

- Sync your Versa 4
- On the Fitbit app > Tap on your profile picture > Tap on Versa 4 > Tap Notifications and you'll see the option to disable them or to turn them on. If they are already off, try turning them on.
- Log out of your Fitbit app
- Force quit the Fitbit app
Restart your Versa 4
- Log back into your Fitbit app
- Turn off the Notifications settings

If none of the above helps, may I know if you're receiving any error message in the Fitbit app regarding the notifications not working?

Yes, this is done as well.
I have done everything to set up on both my fitbit device, as well as the
Samsung mobile.

It just hasn't worked since I have taken it out of the box. I should have
sent it back as soon as I opened it on Mother's Day, but I thought it may
be something I am doing wrong so I kept it.
