On-wrist calls on Versa 4 aren't working correctly

Get the below error when try to receive the call in my watch:- "Connection error. There is something wrong with your connection. Call is now on phone".  Have already checked on wrist call as well notification, and everything seems to be right.

If you continue having issues with the on-wrist call notifications after checking what @Talahthas has shared with you, please try the following:

If you continue having issues, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. On the phone, turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  2. Restart the Fitbit device once gain. For instructions, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Remove Versa 4 Controls from the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone.
  4. Set up on-wrist calls again. For instructions, see How do I set up on-wrist calls on my Fitbit device?

Note that Versa 4 Controls might be listed as “Not Connected” in the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone. When you receive a phone call, the controls automatically reconnect. This feature requires more frequent charging.

@tej_shetti Welcome to the Fitbit community!

Please check whether or not your Versa 4 has Bluetooth calling activated. To do so, open the Fitbit app on your phone. Then tap on your profile picture in the upper left corner followed by a tap on Versa 4's tile. In the "General" section you find the setting for Bluetooth calling.

I am having the same issue and have followed the troubleshooting instructions outlined above. Initially the one wrist calling appears successful and connects to the Bluetooth on my phone. If i recheck the Bluetooth connections a few minutes later Versa 4 calls is marked as not connected. I followed your advise and tried to call my phone from a land line, with my mobile phone and watch next to each other. Icon appeared showing incoming call and hit the answer button. Message appeared on the watch stating that connecting to call but followed by another message saying connection unsuccessful and to answer using the phone.   i have spoken to you support section who have been unable to help. What is the answer?????

I've tried the above suggestions but still getting the error message after picking up on the watch. I worked once 3 days ago and today it's stopped working completely.

I'm having the same issues on my new fitbit sense 2. Only set up on the 21st Jan With the latest version. Onwrist calls not working. Stating connection then connection failed.

Having the same issue of connectivity with respect to calls. The above mentioned methods doesn't seem to solve the problem

I dont have anything that says Versa 4 controls. Everything i see say versa 3

 

amazing that all these issues are happening with both sense 2 and versa 4 and no info from Fitbit. Call and they give you a case number and nothing happens unless you call back AGAIN

That's exactly what happened to me. They gave me a case number. Haven't heard from them apart from when i chased them. Had a 2nd email back advising that they are still investigating. I've since sent my watch back, I'm not sure if I should purchase a new one with all these problems. My on wrist calls never worked on my sense 2 watch, had it for 1 week.

I am on my 4th one versa. Have a charge 4 for 3 years never had an issue. I am not going to let this go. They need to improve their customer service

Were you able to take calls and see sms messages on your s10 with the versa? have you heard anything from Fitbit why this is happening

Being as I am on my 4th with same issue and mileage incorrect too maybe time to look elsewhere.

Or they tell you to do the same thing over and over again. 

 

Factory reset. Uninstalled app on phone. Reset bluetooth. Tried everything 10 x's.  Answering worked on watch for about 3 weeks then stopped. Reset bluetooth fixed it for  a day. This is a feature that I enjoyed especially at work. I want it back or replace the versa 4. I even removed everything that was paired on bluetooth. The watch rings and on my phone under connections I can see the versa 4 calls switch on when I accept the call but it still times out and then error message. Not sure if this an android problem or a fitbit problem.

Pretty frustrating. Amazes me they do as well as they do with the poor service they provide. They produce new more expensive items without full testing as far as I am concerned. Never had a problem with my charge 3 or charge 4. Only bought versa to get calls and messages

I also have same problem for long time, on wrist calls not working, with exactly same error as above, i did all the troubleshooting steps you mentioned with fitbit support but still problem is not solved

Do you have any update about this ??

I received no help from Fitbit. But after an android update it stared working again about a moth ago.

I also realized that it is working now, not sure how it was fixed

I agree that there was no help from fitbit, very bad support
