Setting Dynamic GPS on Versa 4

I go for long walking trips and purchased a Versa 4 is suposed to suport Dynamic GPS (https://www.techradar.com/health-fitness/smartwatches/your-watch-now-supports-dynamic-gps-heres-what...) so I can use it for multiple day walking trips but can find it in the settings.  On the watch there is no GPS section.  How do I turn this feature on?

Welcome back to the Fitbit community, @funkytwig!

If your Versa 4 is running the latest firmware version 194.61, dynamic GPS is automatically used whenever your phone is within Bluetooth reach while doing an appropriate exercise.
To easily check which firmware version is running on your device, just tap the Devices button in the upper left corner of your Fitbit app's Today page. Then tap the Versa 4 tile. The last 5 digits of the displayed firmware version are the relevant ones.

Thanks for that. The version I have is 184.52.  I only just got the fitbit and it did a software update during setup.  How do I get the latest version as this is the whole reason I got this fitbit as I go for walking trips and the battery wont even last a day using onboard GPS?

@funkytwig  Your Versa 4 has the firmware from when it was manufactured.  New users usually get firmware updates within 24-48 hours of activation.  It looks like Fitbit paused the rollout.  I have a Sense 2, which has the same operating system.  I haven’t received my update and my app says I’m up to date.
