Just bought this versa 4, stated in usp list that on screen workouts are available and have seen a promo video showing an on screen workout .
How do you get the premium workouts showing on your wrist ?

the support team know absolutely nothing . Has anyone managed it ?
fitbit should not advertise it as working feature if its not ! Other features are marked coming soon ..

@Talulahula this is a 4 year old ad of Versa. As I said, long ago there was an app called Coach but has been discontinued. This feature doesn't exist anymore.

Where have you seen that? I haven't seen it in any ad for Sense 2 or Versa 4. I don't think there is a such feature at all. I remember a long time ago there was the Fitbit Coach app (I think I had it on Ionic) on the watch but that's long gone.

@Talulahula @t.parker , There are some Guided Excersices and Programs  included in "Premium". You can watch them on your phone, or cast them to a bigger screen. You find them in the app. At the bottom of the "Today Screen", you find a tab "Discover" and voila 🙂

@LokeAa the question was about workouts on the watch which was a feature on older devices (not very useful though but it was a feature). I tried only Premium running workouts but it came as mostly silence interrupted occasionally by an annoying guide voice with no explanation of effort, pace etc.. It's hard to follow when it's not specified how to train. Other workouts I tried ages ago when I had Ionic and they were okay-ish but I'm not an audience for them (I don't buy motivational BS, I want to train not to listen to life coaching 😁).

@LokeAa it was a feature of first Ionic and Versa, then Versa 2 until the Coach app has been discontinued. It may have existed on Sense and Versa 3 (I don't remember) as the Coach app officially has been discontinued on July 30, 2021, and all the workouts have been moved to the Premium feature. With that, two features have been lost - the Coach app on the watch and the ability to cast workouts on the bigger screens (a previously separate mobile Coach app was able to do it). The watch app was kind of useless as it had a very limited number of preloaded workouts (the mobile app received updates but the watch app was rarely or never updated with new content) and it didn't have any features like rep counting etc. Also, looking at videos (or rather animated gifs containing just several frames) while exercising wasn't easy.

I bought the first Sense when it was released, and no "on screen workouts". Before Sense I had Charge 3, and remember Fitbit Coach.

It is possible to cast the exercise videos that still exists with Premium. I don't know if casting is available for both Android and iOS? I'm not very good with iPhone....

@LokeAa With Sense Coach app didn't come preloaded (as it did with Ionic) but I don't know whether it was in the Gallery (that's why I'm not sure).

The casting is disabled by design. On Android:

I don't know what it looks like on iOS but it was possible to cast workouts when they were part of the Fitbit Coach app. It is still possible to cast the whole phone screen but this is a different method of casting. It lowers quality to reduce latency when casting real-time screens. If casting the video using a pointed icon, then the receiver knows it's not real-time so it can buffer it for better quality. Anyway, Fitbit decided to disable casting.

Edit: found this post from 2020 showing that indeed, the Coach app worked on Sense, too.

@t.parker , it has to be different for different markets? I still have the first version of the Sense manual. Coach on watch screen is not mentioned. Fitbit coach was a separate app, one for phone, and one for Windows.

I am on Android, I can cast, this is right here, right now

And, wow, Fitbit has made several new videos, and in Norwegian (!). that was a surprise.

@LokeAa is that icon from the screenshot working for you? Or do you use screen mirroring? Screen mirroring works but it's a different method. The Coach app was on Sense but you'd need to install it first (it didn't come preinstalled from what I researched) so the manual never mentioned it.

Yes, it's working. Casting to Chromecast, not mirroring. With mirroring you cannot fill the screen.

Interesting, that never worked for me. It did work previously in the Coach app 🤔
