You can edit them into one sleep segment.

Thank you for your response. I've tried to edit in the morning and it sends that a sleep hog has already been entered so I can't change it unless I'm missing something. But again, thank you

Don't have time right now for lengthy explanation but briefly delete one sleep segment, then edit other segment to include the time you just deleted, being careful to get date and AM/PM set right.

Hit same issue with brand new Charge 6, that I just bought specifically to track my sleep. It completely stopped recording sleep after my mid night bathroom sojourn, and missed the subsequent 5 hours of sleep.

So I added those hours via the +LogSleep button, and it certainly extended my displayed sleep time to my noted end time, but had zero data for that time period.  So, just as OP stated,   mine showed only 3hrs sleep, but now over 8hr period.

Either this is still user error, or it's a finicky app, or the device stops recording data after an interruption.  I can test for user error after another night, but if it's not, then this device gets returned.

Thank you for your response. I'm still having the same problem. When I go
to hit plus sleep long it says time is already recorded.... pain in the
butt.

@mrmugu and @RetiredCoco Sorry I didn't explain it better.  When you get part of the night's sleep recorded, or if your sleep is broken into 2 sections, the solution I meant is not manually logging the missing sleep.

Display your sleep.  Scroll down to the bottom of the sleep section to see if it lists another sleep session, as may be the case if you got up during the night.  In that case, carefully note the start and end times of each session.  What you are going to do is delete one session, and edit the other to include the time of the deleted session.  At the top right of the Sleep display, there are 3 vertical dots.  Tap that, and you get 3 options: first choose Delete Sleep and it will show you the times of each sleep sesion and ask you which sleep session to delete. Either one is okay as long as you remember the times.  Then go through that again but choose Edit instead of Delete.  Now there is only one sleep session and it asks if you want to edit the start or end time of the session.  If you went to bed before midnight and deleted the first session, be careful to change the date and make beginning time pm.  If done correctly, you should then have one sleep session for the whole night.  You might have to exit sleep and re-enter to let the display re-adjust.

If you only had one sleep session recorded but the recording got cut short, you can use similar method to just edit that session, rather than trying to manually log it.

Thank you for the detailed response!  I would have never suspected those 3 dots at top right of being related this functionality,  especially when there is a big bright blue +Sleep button highly visible at bottom right!

Thankfully my last few nights have been uninterrupted, so I have not encountered the missing sleep segment issue again. Will certainly use your solution when it again occurs.

@RetiredCoco  A couple of thoughts on your response:
That +log sleep button, on other screens, such as the Today screen, is just is + sign. Tap on that and it gives several other options, which get limited down to just one because you are on the Sleep section; worth taking a look at on other screens.

The 3 dots stymied me at first too but I've seen it on a few other sites too.  I'm guessing it's sort of an abbreviated version of what used to be called the "hamburger menu" which was 3 vertical dashes, which similarly meant tapping it would open up other menu choices, though not necessarily editing choices.

That + button for sleep is not very useful.
