Sleep tracker help Fitbit versa 4

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Got a new Fitbit versa 4 a few days ago really pleased but need help with sleep tracker.

First night it said Awake REM Deep and Light sleep

Second and third nights it just says awake restless asleep and is far less detailed and doesn't give a score for poor fair good sleep etc it's far less detailed

Am I doing something wrong or is the fact that there was a Fitbit update between nights 1 and 2 to blame?

Hello @Bramble42 and welcome to the Community.  Your Versa 4 tracks sleep automatically.  You got sleep stages on your first night and got sleep patterns on the other two.  If you tracked it automatically (just went to sleep), then the most common reason for sleep patterns is that your Fitbit couldn't get a detailed heart rate recording.  Your Fitbit might be too loose or you slept in a position that kept the heart rate monitor from getting a detailed trace.  Your Fitbit tracks heart rate on a beat-to-beat basis, so proper fit is important.

Also, just in case you tried this, do not start and end your sleep tracking by tapping on the green "+" button on the Fitbit app, then tapping on the Start sleep in the Track live section of the app.  This is for older models that can't track sleep automatically.  It gives sleep patterns.
