Some friends no longer visible to me

I recently purchased versa 4 , updated from an older device. I purchased versa 4 because I thought that the reason I no longer see some of my friends is because a software compatibility issue. But now I have the same problem. For example my friend also has a versa 4 and when I try to add him it says contact already added. But he doesn't show up in my list of contacts and I don't show up in his. We both have several Fitbit friends and missing several friends as well. Neither of us are set to be hidden. How do I solve this issue?

Hello @martasmith1 and welcome to the Community.  If you have a Fitbit account, you can only see friends who have a Fitbit account.  If you moved to a Google account, you can only see friends who have a Google account.  If you tap on the Show others option at the bottom of your friends list, your should see these friends.  Their profile picture is greyed out and it says Step count unavailable.
