Swimming

ANSWERED

Hi peeps, so tomorrow I'm using my fitbit versa 4 for the first time in the water swimming.

I'm wondering do I have to do anything to the versa to make it water resistant as I saw a video for another fitbit where you had to lock it.

I quickly went through the Manual and couldn't find anything about that.

So thought I'd double check with you guys.

TIA 😊

Hi @Sandy181   Some Fitbit models have a separate water lock in their settings app on the device.  The Versa 4 doesn't.  The Versa 4 automatically turns on the water lock when you use the Swimming shortcut in the Exercise app.

The water lock feature doesn't do what you think it does.  It doesn't change the water resistance.  It prevents water from activating the screen while you are in the water.  To help prevent water damage. Fitbit says don't wear it in the shower.  Soaps, shampoos, etc., can weaken the seals.
