Unresponsive Versa 4 even after reboot

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello again,

I'm struggling with my Versa 4 not responding at all. After charging it overnight, and keeping it on a charger after trying to troubleshoot the issue myself, I'm unable to reboot the device off the button. The screen doesn't turn on or provide the Fitbit logo after trying to reboot it and only vibrates when the button is held for any length of time.

It has also disconnected itself from my Fitbit account and is undetectable with the Bluetooth on my handset.

Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Good to see you participating in the community for the first time @Lizzie-R @ShaneG24

Thank you for letting me know the information about this difficulty that you are experiencing with your Versa 4.

Please try to follow the steps listed here below:

1. Sync the device in the Fitbit app.

  • From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap Devices.
  • Chooose the Versa 4.
  • Tap Sync Now.

2. Check for available Firmware updates.

  • With the Fitbit device nearby, open the Fitbit app (make sure the Fitbit device is charged).
  • Tap the Today Tab > Devices > your device.
  • Tap Update (This option only appears if an update is available).

Follow the on-screen instructions: Keep the Fitbit device close to your phone during the update. When the update starts, a progress bar appears on the device and in the Fitbit app until the update is complete.

3. Charge the device:

Double-check the connection: Ensure secure connection to the charging cable and that the cable is plugged into a working USB port (computer or UL-certified wall charger).
If these steps don't work:

4. Restart the device: Keep in mind that your data won't be deleted: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

5. Changing the clock face via the Fitbit app can sometimes resolve a black screen issue:

  • Open the Fitbit app.
  • Choose Device Settings.
  • Navigate to the clock face options and try selecting a different clock face.

Manu,

I've tried all of these things already and it still doesn't work.

It is now largely disconnected from my account. It doesn't allow me to pair/sync to my phone or do anything with it in the app.

I've already tried to restart the device, to no success whatsoever because that was the first idea I had.

It has been on charge overnight again and is still only vibrating so this is very unlikely to be a battery issue.

I was looking for answer because I faced the same thing for my versa 4. Factory reset it then came flashing screens and red cross. I found the solution and back here to help. Apparently, I learnt that this is a factory reset mode and I followed this YouTube video step by step and I managed to go back to normal : Get out of Factory Reset mode
