'Updated' my Versa 2 to a Versa 4

Requested and received Versa 4 for Christmas, as an 'update' for my Versa 2.

Not happy with 'update'.

Versa 4 is:

1. having difficulty connecting to GPS... Not showing GPS option at all for walking.  Have to use the app to track my walk. (Not so with Versa 2)

2. Not showing hourly step totals. Used this feature in Versa 2 to start my weight loss experience. 

3. Not showing temp. 

I'm waiting to be impressed with this Versa 4 -- hopefully positive-- so far it looks like my attempt at an 'update' has been in a backward direction. 

Oh, I've been on phone and chat several times with support and customer service. Have just received replacement "pebble" and  so far having same issues. Guess my expectations are greater than this Versa 4 'update'.

Recommendation-- don't purchase a Versa 4 as 'update' to anything....

Hello @Ddhicks and welcome to the Community.  I hope I can help you with two of your issues, but I agree with you on every level that this device isn't an upgrade from previous models.

1.  I hope you've had enough time to swipe in every direction, tap and push the button to see what happens.  The Versa 4 introduced screen tiles, something very new.  Swipe left or right to go to your Exercise tile on the screen.  Don't tap on the Walk icon; that's a quick start shortcut.  Tap on All to open the Exercise app. (An alternative way to get the Exercise app is to short push the button, then choose Exercise.)  Now choose Walk.  Swipe up on the tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen.  This is where you find all the individual settings for the Walk shortcut.  Others users posted that the GPS is off by default ?!?!?!  Toggle it on.  I think this will help with the "not showing GPS option" part of your description.

2.  The hourly reminder was redesigned.  I have hands on experience with 10 devices that have hourly reminders.  There was no reason to change this.  To find your hourly reminder, short press the button to go to your Today app or swipe left/right to Main Goal tile and tap on that.  With this new design, your icon shows your completed hours.  It doesn't show your completed/remaining steps UNTIL you get your 10 minutes left vibration.  You could have one step left or all 250.

3.  I don't have an answer for the temperature issue.  I don't wear a Versa 4.  I know that other users are posting about the same issue.

4.  There's also the issue that the Versa 4 doesn't allow third party apps.  We don't need to go there.
