Versa 3 or wait for unannounced Versa 4?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So currently Amazon have their 2 day sale going on and they have the Versa 3 for £119 (UK). Wondering what any owners here think? I was going to wait for the Versa 4 but so far there are only limited bits of information pointing to it being very similar.

Would you just buy the Versa 3 on sale or wait? I don't have a smart watch at the moment, last smart watch I had was a Gear S3 and got tired of the 2 day battery life.

Thanks for any help!

Hi @koinabeda - nothing about the Versa 4 are proven and it doesn't have music or Google Assistant if you want to use either so could be a step down.

Given the Versa 3 is half the price for more and you have a 30 day refund normally, try that first.

Edit: ignore what I said about discontinuing Versa 3, it is still available in Fitbit store (in general, ignore my response).

Hi @koinabeda I agree with @Guy_ . That is a great price for the Versa 3, which is a very nice smart watch. I'd go for it unless there is something advertised in the Versa 4 you eally want or you have lots of money andbthe cost doesn't matter!

@koinabeda If you are interested in having Google maps and Google wallet on the device, then it's better to wait for the Versa 4. Although both of these will not be available at launch and marketed as "coming soon".

If you are not worried about having basic turn by turn directions (Google maps) and are happy with the supported banks that Fitbit Pay offers (Versa 3 has fitbit pay), then the Versa 3 at that price is the much better buy. You will also have the choice between voice assistants (Alexa & Google assistant) on the Versa 3, and the ability to control the music playing on your phone (this seems to have been removed from the Versa 4)

All very confusing isn't it? Below is a chart from the Fitbit compare page, although I don't believe Versa 3 has connected GPS?
