Versa 4 - Automatically restarting periodically... Flashing, red x, then rebooting

I woke up last night to my versa 4 blinking, it apparently restarted itself in the night; shouldn't have happened as device was in sleep mode. When I pushed the side button, no response. I held the button in and it restarted but button is still unresponsive to short press. I  restarted the device several times and finally ended up factory resetting it.... It hasn't resolved the issue. Any advice on what else to try?

Hi @Nancy_, thanks for stopping by, I hope you're doing well.

Let me help you with the issue your Versa 4 constantly restarting and showing  a red x. Thank you for all the troubleshooting you all have already tried.

The red x is a sign that may light our path towards the resolution of your issue.

First, do not unpair your device or uninstall the Fitbit app because you might not be able to pair the device again. This being said:

  • Sync in the Fitbit app. From the Today tab, tap the Devices > Versa 4 > Sync.
  • If Sync Now doesn’t show an update banner, tap the Devices icon > Versa 4 >

Gallery. The app should show a pop up to install the missing apps and recover the device.
  • Restart your device. Refer to How do I restart my Fitbit device?
