Hello,
This article https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1874.htm suggests that the Versa 4 supports dynamic GPS, where it should use my phone's GPS instead of the built in one when its available.
I went for a walk today, and enabled GPS in the settings for the exercise before starting, however it looks like it's used the built in GPS for it as it's hammered my battery life.
I can confirm that the Fitbit app on my phone has location and precise location permissions all the time and that it's able to sync to the watch - Is there something I need to do to specifically enable this?
Currently thinking that if i start tracking from the watch itself, it'll use the on board one, but if i want to use the phone's GPS, do I need to instead start tracking from the fitbit app? If I do that, will it still pull in HR stats etc from the watch?

I'm android not iphone - but do you get that popup when you start the exercise from the watch, or if you start it from the app?

So I just tried starting a walk from the app - as you'd expect, the log entry has GPS data because its coming from my phone. My watch independently started auto tracking it too, so I now have two entries in my log, one from my phone with GPS but no HR data, and one from my watch with HR Data and no GPS.
If I turn on GPS on the watch It just tanks the battery as I think its using the built in GPS instead of using my phone's so I'm a little stumped
