Versa 4 GPS won't connect

I have a new Versa 4.  The reason I purchased it was that it had a connected GPS so I didn't need to take my phone.  I have tried it multiple times and it will not connect.  I am standing in the middle of the street, no blocking trees or buildings.  I do the exercise walk and it spins like it is looking for a connection and then the little chevron arrow turns from white and spinning to red for my entire walk.  I have tried restarting it on my walk and the same thing happens.  I have the connected to GPS turned on, I have location turned on.  Is there something I'm missing?

Hi there, @BarbAVersa4. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out.

Has the Versa 4 GPS worked before? If so, I'd like to know if you've recently changed your normally location? How long do you wait for the GPS signal to connect? If you've noticed it's less than 5 minutes, please let your watch try to connect for at least 5 minutes before cancelling the exercise. Your Versa 4 will continue to try connecting and you can go about your run.

Additionally, please make sure your Versa 4 meets the requirements for connecting to GPS. For more information, see Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

It is now working.  Apparently I had to stand in one spot for 5 minutes.  Arrow turned red.  I switched spots and tried it again.  Finally connected.  I'm walking on a break at work so it needs to connect quicker or I just start walking.  Today it connected in 20 seconds.  However I won't always be walking in the same location.Sent from my Galaxy
