Versa 4 - Notifications not coming through

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi, my versa 4 is all set up. I’ve had it for a week now and still not recieving WhatsApp and text notification.
I have followed all the guides on the community groups:

reset the watch and phone

updated everything

synced

waited for app notifications to come through on the phone for the apps to appear

made WhatsApp visible on the my phone screen

Bluetooth allows for notifications etc

I’ve done everything and I’m still receiving the option to turn WhatsApp notifications on.
text messages do not come through and neither do phone calls

I’m getting really annoyed as I wanted it for work.

does anybody have any solutions that have worked? X

@Nic90 @SunsetRunner , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your messages.

Please make sure that you have the latest Fitbit app installed. We released a new update a few days ago.

The most common reason why the notifications are not shared to the Versa 4, is that the Fitbit App is not allowed to run in the background.

If you haven't done so yet please have a look at this: Why are notifications delayed or missing?
Here are some tips, and instructions about the settings that have helped a lot of users.

Thank you

i have the recent update and it is allowed to run in the background.

i have tried the steps above

loads of apps do come through but not WhatsApp and texts are on to come through but they do not.

i guess I’ll have to ask to return. Maybe it’s faulty.

thank you

Good luck!

Ive been having the same issues for about a month now and all they suggest is turn in and off the notifications,  factory reset, make sure app.is running in the background,  etc, all of which I've done. I'm still under warranty and want to return or at least get them to fix it, still waiting on them to start the claim process!

From my experience, I couldn't get the notifications to show up on my fitbit unless I had the messages show up on my lock screen, or in the notification banner. On my iPhone, previously I had the notifications set to show us as just "text message" or "iMessage" on my lockscreen and notification banners without showing a preview of the message. I had to change the setting to preview the messsage on screen before my versa 4 would start displaying the notifications.
