Versa 4 - Walks not syncing to Strava but runs do

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Got my Versa 4 five days ago after six or seven years of Charge 2. I mainly use Fitbit for tracking walks and the occasional run. However, despite setting up the walk tracking and stopping it on time, it doesn’t register on Strava at all?

I know the connection is live because I tracked a run on the same weekend as two long walks and only the run shows on Strava (minus GPS which is another issue).

Never had this issue with charge 2. Please help.

@Cifizz , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for reaching out.

Do you record your walks with GPS?

Keep in mind that from Fitbit to Strava only the activities with GpS will be shared.

What issue do you have with the GPS?

Hi Juan.

Thanks for your reply.

To record walks on the Versa 4, I first sync my Fitbit with the phone app
to ensure it’s connected. Then, in my Fitbit, I go to “Start exercise” and
I choose “walk” from the watch screen. When I end the walk and sync again,
nothing shows in Strava. I thought the GPS would be automatic but please
let me know if I’m missing some steps? I do a lot of walks and don’t want
to miss recording them.

When I run, the GPS only records a little bit of the map, like a little
line, but not the whole route.

Is there a way to turn on notifications when the GPS doesn't connect or get
the watch to vibrate so I can fix it before it’s too late?

@Cifizz , Thank you for  your reply!

The Versa 4 has a built in GPS, so that it does not need to be connected to your phone to capture your  GPS data.

When starting to record your walks on your watch. Swipe until you see the activities (exercises) choose Walk and swipe up.
You should see the option to turn the GPS on/off.

Make sure it's on.
Then swipe down again, until you see the play icon. You should then wait until you see a GPS connection.
Tap on the play button to start your recording.

The straight line you se on your runs, shows, where the GPS signal got lost and where it connected again.

For better results I suggest you to have a look at this: OpenBuilt-in GPS
